Haikus - English

Long after the storm

veils of leafless birch twigs stay

hanging out of place

My birch tree will keep

a set of its golden leaves

for winter solstice

Only healthy trees

are able to shed their leaves

on time in autumn

They took off your top,

little birch, but opened the

view to Orion

What is a window?

Part of a wall that does not

exist any more

Andes pampa grass -

food for the llamas at home,

here, food for the eyes.

Termites - masters of

taking apart, within life’s

eternal cycle

Each dug his tunnel

to meet halfway, but we lacked

coordination

For all I went through

over the years I’m grateful

but wish no repeat
